Spring Cleaning Checklist Item: Roof

As warm as the temperatures have been lately here in Oklahoma, it’s hard to believe we’re still hosting the spring season. Along with your “spring cleaning,” have you completed your bi-annual roof inspection? The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) recommends that homeowners have their roofs inspected by a professional twice a year — once in the fall after the hot weather subsides and once in the spring after the threat of ice and snow passes. Though often neglected, regular roof maintenance can help prevent costly repairs and unnecessary replacements further down the road. Give the professionals at S.H. Vaughn Construction a call. We’ll perform a thorough roof inspection to determine if your roof has any of the following issues:

  • Missing and/or damaged shingles
  • Leaky gutters
  • Mold or algae growth
  • Wear and tear near roof valleys
  • Other types of roof damage not visible at ground level
